On January 29, 2025, the figure skating community suffered another devastating loss.  A Black Hawk Army helicopter collided in mid-air with American Airlines Flight 5342 near Washington, DC.  A total of  67 people were killed, including 28 members of the figure skating community.  

     This tragic loss included young skaters, parents, and coaches returning from the National Development Camp that followed the 2025 US National Championships.  Some of those skaters had been contributors to our cookbooks.

     In response to this heartbreaking tragedy, Volume 3 of Figure Skaters' Favorites is now being created to honor and remember those we have lost.  

     ALL proceeds from Volume 3 will be donated to the US Figure Skating Family Support Fund to benefit the families of those lost in this tragic accident.

     ALL members of the skating community are invited and encouraged to participate by contributing recipes and/or special memories. Please join us in honoring those we have lost.
